• Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991): The scene where the Terminator goes back in time to save 10-year-old John Connor from the T-1000 takes place in 1994.

• In Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla, Godzilla cells fly through a black hole in 1994.

• "Ticker" Troon wins a posthumous Victoria Cross foiling a Soviet attack on a British space station, in John Wyndham's The Outward Urge.
